What you will do
- Design, implement, and polish lighting for environments and gameplay spaces to match artistic vision.
- Establish mood, tone, and visual storytelling through purposeful lighting techniques.
- Collaborate with environment, gameplay, VFX, and technical art teams to ensure visual cohesion.
- Balance artistic quality against technical performance and constraints in real-time environments.
- Support scene optimization, iteration, and final quality polish throughout the development cycle.
Requirements
- Must be based in Canada or the United States.
- Professional experience as a Lighting Artist in the game industry.
- Expertise in Unreal Engine 5.
- Strong understanding of both dynamic and baked lighting pipelines.
- Proficiency in color, value, composition, and cinematic storytelling.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines in a remote team environment.
