What you will do

  • Manage and mentor the People & Culture Manager in Austria, providing guidance on payroll, benefits, and local compliance.
  • Act as the central point of contact for HR operations across Europe, ensuring a consistent employee experience.
  • Own payroll for France, Italy, and Austria, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Serve as the internal expert on French labor law and coordinate social relations across Europe.
  • Support the VP People in designing and implementing a competitive and equitable salary grid.
  • Manage the technical implementation of performance cycles via HiBob, ensuring data is clean and ready to support career growth decisions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in People Ops or Payroll, with experience in people management/mentoring.
  • Solid knowledge of French labor law, with the ability to oversee compliance in other jurisdictions (Austria, Italy).
  • Professional fluency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Experience with Purpose: 5+ years in People Ops or Payroll, with at least some experience or strong aptitude for people management/mentoring.
  • Operational Rigor: You value precision as a form of respect for the team. You catch the tiny typos and the calculation errors others miss.
  • Syntec & Multi-country Savvy: Solid knowledge of French labor law, with the curiosity and ability to oversee compliance in other jurisdictions (specially Austria, Italy).
  • Growth Mindset: You love learning and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves to fix a process or help a teammate.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in an M&A/Acquisition context (integrating new teams/entities).
  • Advanced experience with HiBob and Payfit.
  • Knowledge of other European labor laws such as Austria, Italy, Spain.
  • Professional German fluency.
