What you will do

• Verify component, system integration, and application-level features to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
• Review engineering technical design documents and requirements, providing input on testability.
• Increase and improve automated test coverage.
• Contribute to existing tools, frameworks, and related solutions.
• Leverage new open-source solutions to build new testing tools.
• Collaborate on determining the root cause of production outages and adding quality improvements.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer.
• 2-3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product.
• A computer science background or equivalent experience.
• Experience with any of the following: Go, Python, Scala, Java, C++, C#, Node.js.
• Proficient with networking protocols, web services (JSON, REST, RPC, XML, AWS EC2 & S3), and data storage technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cassandra, SQLServer, Redis, MemCache).
• Strong debugging skills to identify design flaws, race conditions, and performance bottlenecks.

Nice to have

• Authored and led successful open-source libraries and projects.
• Contributions to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
• Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins.
