What you will do

• Verify component, system integration, and application-level features and functionality to ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance.
• Review engineering technical design documents and requirements, providing plans and strategies for building in testability.
• Increase and improve automated test coverage.
• Contribute to existing tools, frameworks, and related solutions, leveraging new open-source solutions to build new testing tools.
• Improve delivered product quality across the entire platform and applications.
• Collaborate on determining the root cause of production outages and adding quality improvements to prevent future outages.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years as an SDET or Backend Developer (combined).
• Extensive software development experience in Python, C/C++, and/or other languages such as Go, Scala, Java, C#, or Node.js.
• 2-3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for a Cloud SaaS product.
• Strong debugging skills with the ability to spot design flaws, race conditions, etc. in complex architectures.
• Experience with Jenkins operations and debugging.
• Proficiency with Networking (protocols, distributed systems, layered architectures) & Web Services (JSON, REST, XML, AWS EC2 & S3.)

• Authored and led successful open-source libraries and projects.
• Contributions to the open-source community (GitHub, Stack Overflow, blogging).
• Existing exposure to Go, AWS, Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, GRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins
