What you will do
- Perform end-to-end security analysis of Quantum Key Distribution systems.
- Assess authentication mechanisms and Key Management Systems.
- Conduct security proofs and formal security analysis.
- Perform security risk assessments and vulnerability analysis.
- Support architecture definition, design reviews, and validation of security concepts.
- Participate in technical exchanges with industry and support closure of security-related review items.
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Telecommunications, or Systems Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in security engineering, including Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) security, Cryptographic protocols & authentication, Key Management Systems, or Vulnerability or risk assessments.
- Ability to perform end to end security analysis, including architecture review, threat modelling, and definition/assessment of security measures.
- Experience reviewing technical security documentation and preparing security related comments, analyses, or review inputs.
- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
- Candidates must be eligible for Personal Security Clearance (PSC) to ESA SECRET/EU SECRET level.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have
- Background in quantum communications or quantum cryptography.
- Understanding of space systems, ground segment architecture, or secure communication infrastructures.
- Knowledge of ESA/ECSS processes, system engineering methodologies, or security accreditation frameworks.
- Experience in formal security proofs or model based security analysis.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to industrial sites.
