Location: Remote (within European Union) or hybrid in Berlin, Germany.

Salary: A personal training & development budget of € 1,500 per year.

What you will do

• Take ownership of new product development from concept to production in a fast-moving incubator environment.
• Architect and implement full-stack features using Next.js, delivering both frontend experiences and robust backend services.
• Design and build scalable APIs with proper service architecture.
• Optimize for serverless constraints, implementing background job processing and caching strategies.
• Partner closely with product, design, and growth to rapidly test hypotheses and ship improvements.
• Integrate AI-powered capabilities where they create tangible user and platform value.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong JavaScript/TypeScript expertise.
• Deep Next.js knowledge beyond the frontend.
• Solid backend engineering fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Comfortable with serverless architecture.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong product ownership.
• Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional teams with shifting priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience with tRPC or similar type-safe API frameworks.
• Background job processing experience (Inngest, BullMQ, or similar).
• Prior work with LLMs, vector databases, or building AI-powered features.
• Python experience for AI/ML integrations.
• E-commerce, SaaS, or FinTech domain experience.
• Contributions to open-source or prior incubator/startup experience.
