Product Designer (HR Tech)

TL;DR

Product Designer (HR Tech): Designing end-to-end product experiences for enterprise integrations and the US market with an accent on user research, prototyping, and design system stewardship. Focus on creating mobile-first experiences for frontline workers and polished desktop experiences for admins.

Location: Must be based in our Boston office 3 days/week.

Salary: $150k – $170k

What you will do

• Own the design process from early discovery and concept exploration through to detailed UI specs and developer handoff.
• Conduct user research, including customer interviews and usability testing, to inform design decisions.
• Create high-fidelity prototypes and interactive demos to support pre-sales efforts.
• Maintain and contribute to hirify.global's design system, ensuring consistency across mobile and web.
• Collaborate with engineering and product management in sprint ceremonies and design reviews.
• Design mobile-first experiences for frontline workers and desktop experiences for admins and integrators.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product design experience with a portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of B2B SaaS products in HR tech, employee experience, internal comms, or enterprise platforms.
• Mobile-first design expertise with an understanding of designing for frontline workers.
• Comfortable planning and running user research and advocating for users in product discussions.
• Expert in Figma with strong prototyping skills.
• Understanding of designing for complex integration workflows and data flows.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design rationale to engineers, PMs, and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience designing for enterprise integration UIs.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Experience supporting pre-sales processes, including rapid prototyping for RFPs and customer demos.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
• Experience working in a scaling startup environment.
