Location: Hybrid, based in Melbourne, Australia. Must attend the local office for part of the week.

What you will do

• Build and maintain tooling to help hirify.global meet compliance standards within the data platform.
• Ensure the reliability of systems on AWS, focusing on performance and scalability.
• Develop next-generation reporting and analytics infrastructure for over 170,000 businesses.
• Manage the full development lifecycle, including technical design, pair programming, code review, and testing.
• Integrate AWS services (EMR, Kubernetes, S3, Athena, Glue), Snowflake, and Docker at scale.
• Share team ownership and be ready to troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software development or data engineering.
• 2+ years building and operating scalable, production-grade systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Golang.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Strong grasp of containerisation, including Docker and Kubernetes in production.
