Senior Frontend Developer (React/Next.js)

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with a balance between working at the office and working from home. Must live in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of performant, user-friendly applications and interface components with React.js and Next.js.
• Review and improve application requirements, interface designs, and web-based user interactions in collaboration with UX Designers.
• Contribute to back-end APIs and server-side functionality using Node.js or C# when needed.
• Make technical decisions related to architecture, tools, and processes, while ensuring performance and maintainability.
• Work with GitHub, automated tests, and a Continuous Integration & Deployment environment.
• Coach and mentor junior and medior developers and share technical knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Front-End React/Next.js Developer.
• BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a comparable field.
• Advanced experience with TypeScript and React.js/Next.js concepts.
• Extensive experience with modern JavaScript (ES2017+), HTML, and CSS/SCSS.
• High proficiency with React.js and Next.js.
• Experience with a back-end runtime environment such as Node.js or C# (.NET), including an understanding of how back-end choices affect front-end architecture.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams and making technical decisions.
• Experience working with Scrum/Agile.
• Fluent English and residence in the Netherlands.
