Senior Cyber Security Officer

TL;DR

Senior Cyber Security Officer: Maintaining operational security posture for an information environment and multiple programs with an accent on ensuring information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed. Focus on vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation, and preparing documentation for government requests and incident reports.

Location: On-site in Reston, VA. Must possess an active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.

What you will do

• Maintain operational security posture for information systems and programs.
• Propose, coordinate, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
• Ensure effective information flow among internal teams, external organizations, and senior leaders.
• Coordinate security management activity and perform day-to-day security operations.
• Evaluate security solutions to ensure they meet established requirements for processing classified information.
• Perform vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation.

Requirements

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly.
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 1-8 years of experience.
• Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IAT Level II.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity oversight, threat intelligence, event analysis, and incident response.
• Experience supporting 24x7x365 operations in a cybersecurity, IT or related watch environment.
• Understanding of classified Government networks, technology stacks, and cybersecurity operations.

Nice to have

• Security certifications: Security+, CCNA Security, CISSP, CySA+, SSCP, CCSP, or equivalent certification
