Software Tester (SA26) (Contract)

What you will do

• Execute medium- and high-complexity test cases recorded and assigned in HP Quality Centre.
• Participate in unit, system, regression, stability, distribution, disaster recovery, and other testing levels.
• Identify, document, and escalate defects and system failures in accordance with reporting standards.
• Perform backward compatibility and application, browser, and operating-system compatibility testing.
• Update test progress, prepare reports and recommendations, and identify trends and potential risks.
• Deliver contracted testing outputs within agreed quality and client service parameters.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology with 2–3 years of software testing experience, including 1–2 years at knowledge-worker level.
• Alternatively, Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 3–5 years of software testing experience, including 1–2 years at knowledge-worker level.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and HP Quality Centre.
• Practical knowledge of software testing, quality management, reporting, data analysis, and standard operating procedures.
