What you will do

• Architect metrics defining user success and track activation, retention, and time-to-value.
• Develop causal understanding of customer discovery and adoption to identify expansion levers.
• Own instrumentation standards and data contracts serving as the source of truth for behavioral schemas.
• Surface insights through deep-dives to influence product direction and pricing models.
• Build scalable data products and automated experimentation frameworks for internal teams.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align on roadmap and data-driven strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally with API products or B2B SaaS.
• Advanced-level SQL and strong proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency with dbt and orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow for production pipelines.
• Proven ability to influence product roadmap and strategy across cross-functional teams.
• Experience establishing data quality, governance, lineage, and documentation practices.
• Must be based in or relocate to San Francisco; visa sponsorship is available.

Nice to have

• Experience with developer-facing products or platforms.
• Exposure to cloud usage, compute efficiency, or infrastructure performance data.
• Experience in early-stage or fast-scaling environments.
