What you will do

• Provide vision, direction, and coaching to managers, staff engineers, and senior individual contributors.
• Oversee the design and development of high-scale, high-performance distributed systems.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define and execute the technology roadmap.
• Establish engineering best practices, delivery processes, and quality standards to scale effectively.
• Champion privacy-by-design and security-first principles across the full stack.
• Maintain hands-on engagement in critical technical decisions.

Requirements

• Proven track record of leading engineering organizations in high-growth environments.
• Deep backend expertise in Rust (required).
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript/Node.js.
• Experience designing, deploying, and scaling microservices in AWS.
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic leadership with practical execution.
• Strong experience in modern web development practices (React/Next.js).

Nice to have

• Experience with Flutter or C#/Go.
• Expertise in decentralized identity solutions and advanced cryptography.
• Previous experience working across international time zones.
