Backend Software Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; on-site

Base salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate backend services supporting the core product.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability.
• Develop and maintain real-time infrastructure powering voice-based AI workflows.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product, and founders.
• Ship frequently to production and iterate based on customer needs and system behavior.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional experience.
• Strong backend engineering experience focused on building scalable systems.
• Experience with Go, or strong willingness to work with Go in production.
• Solid understanding of system design, APIs, data modeling, and service reliability.
• Product-oriented mindset and comfort making tradeoffs in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience operating and maintaining production services.
