Trainee (Digital Communication): Developing and creating youth-focused multimedia content for the Agency's digital platforms with an accent on translating complex scientific topics into accessible, engaging stories. Focus on building social media strategies, producing video and visual explainers, and analyzing audience performance to strengthen the Agency’s mission among younger Europeans.

Location: Must be based in Amsterdam (Hybrid), with teleworking up to 40% allowed from the Netherlands and occasional teleworking from outside the Netherlands.

Salary: €2,049 per month.

What you will do

• Contribute to the design of a youth engagement programme by proposing creative content ideas and formats.
• Create youth-friendly content for Instagram and YouTube following an editorial plan.
• Develop multimedia materials including short videos and visual explainers.
• Collaborate with health content creators to reach target audiences through partnerships.
• Monitor and analyze social media performance to track trends and audience behavior.
• Participate in strategic discussions on strengthening presence among younger demographics.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Must be a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway.
• Education: University degree in Journalism, Communication, or Science Communication (obtained between 06.05.2025 and 06.05.2026), or currently a student in a relevant program.
• Language: Thorough knowledge of English (C1 level) required.
• Language: Good knowledge of another official EU language (at least B2) required.
• Ability to work on-site in Amsterdam as part of a hybrid arrangement.

Nice to have

• Skills in videography and video editing.
• Experience in visual design.
