TL;DR
Trainee (Smart Building Technologies): Supporting the implementation of Workplace Experience systems and optimizing building facility processes through data-driven insights. Focus on leveraging smart building technologies and SAFe methodology to enhance efficiency, space utilization, and operational reporting within a complex international environment.
Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Netherlands, with some hybrid presence required in Amsterdam.
Compensation: β¬2,049 per month.

What you will do
- Support the review of facilities processes and identify areas for operational improvement.
- Assist in researching and selecting new smart building technologies and workplace service systems.
- Define product requirements and participate in design sessions and user acceptance testing.
- Collect and analyze building data related to utilities, security, space usage, and meeting room capacity.
- Contribute to the creation of dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making.
- Assist in drafting and improving operational and technical documentation.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Lichtenstein, or Norway.
- University degree in Facilities/Building Management, Engineering, Project/Business Management, or similar (obtained between May 2025 and May 2026) OR current student status.
- English proficiency: C1 level minimum required.
- Good knowledge of another official EU language: B2 level minimum required.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills with a proactive mindset.
- Ability to interpret technical information and translate it into clear actionable insights.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology.
- Experience or strong interest in building automation and IoT.
- Previous experience with data visualization tools and dashboards.
