What you will do
- Develop end-to-end automated test systems from concept to production release.
- Design and document test hardware and software specifications for electro-optical assemblies.
- Collaborate with R&D to define production test requirements and sequences.
- Provide technical support and training to users of developed test solutions.
- Resolve functional test issues with contract manufacturers.
- Optimize test processes using statistical process control (SPC).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a test engineering environment.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be able to work on-site in Ottawa, Canada.
- Experience with Python, VC++, or C# programming.
- Ability to read hardware schematics and CAD files.
Nice to have
- Experience with optical transmission and components.
- Familiarity with optical test instruments like Digital Communication Analyzers or Spectrum Analyzers.
- Knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW and SQL databases.
- Background in PCBA level test methodology.
