What you will do

• Develop end-to-end automated test systems from concept to production release.
• Design and document test hardware and software specifications for electro-optical assemblies.
• Collaborate with R&D to define production test requirements and sequences.
• Provide technical support and training to users of developed test solutions.
• Resolve functional test issues with contract manufacturers.
• Optimize test processes using statistical process control (SPC).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a test engineering environment.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
• Must be able to work on-site in Ottawa, Canada.
• Experience with Python, VC++, or C# programming.
• Ability to read hardware schematics and CAD files.

Nice to have

• Experience with optical transmission and components.
• Familiarity with optical test instruments like Digital Communication Analyzers or Spectrum Analyzers.
• Knowledge of National Instruments LabVIEW and SQL databases.
• Background in PCBA level test methodology.
