Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Wellington, Melbourne, or Vancouver. Hybrid/remote arrangements may be considered with prior approval.

What you will do

• Merge photographic and computer-generated layers into seamless, cohesive final visuals.
• Integrate complex VFX elements with live-action footage to maintain shot-wide aesthetic standards.
• Develop clean, efficient, and well-structured Nuke scripts using Gizmos and Groups.
• Collaborate closely with Compositing and VFX Supervisors to iterate on work based on feedback.
• Manage shot delivery timelines and proactively solve technical or artistic challenges.
• Maintain high-quality standards across large-scale feature film projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience as a compositor on feature films.
• Strong artistic sensibilities and technical understanding of cinematography and photography.
• Deep proficiency in Nuke and modern compositing best practices.
• Solid understanding of colour science and shot management techniques.
• Ability to interpret and apply creative feedback effectively.
• Resilient, positive attitude with strong communication and team collaboration skills.
