What you will do

• Report visually on breaking news, tech events, and industry culture across the Bay Area.
• Produce both photo and video content, ranging from quick-hit updates to short-form stories.
• Write detailed, accurate captions and provide essential context for all captured assets.
• Use AI tools to accelerate metadata tagging and package content within the proprietary app.
• Collaborate with the editorial team and maintain photojournalistic ethics.
• Receive professional coaching from experienced staff photographers.

Requirements

• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco, CA
• Strong photographic portfolio demonstrating visual storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in both photo and video shooting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Comfortable in high-pressure environments and engaging with diverse people.
• Willingness to handle flexible scheduling including occasional evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

• Currently enrolled in a relevant university program (e.g., Berkeley or Stanford).
• Previous experience in school-level or professional photojournalism.
• Current motorbike license.
