Senior Software Engineer (Embedded IoT Dev)

Location: Remote, Germany. Hybrid work is possible from the Berlin office.

What you will do

• Diagnose and document customer support issues, capturing Jira bug tickets with supporting documentation, logs, and traces.
• Work with senior developers to test and fix bugs and regression issues.
• Maintain and improve current applications, focusing on building and supporting embedded applications for deployment in Windows, MacOS, and Linux.
• Analyze product for client-focused satisfaction of usability.
• Design and code new software IT operations products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of C++ or C development experience.
• Experience with C++ Qt framework, including Qt Widgets and QML for cross-platform desktop/mobile development.
• Working with low-level APIs on two major operating systems: Windows and MacOS and Linux.
• Previous experience with either Visual Studio, XCode, QtCreator.
• Version control with Git, code review practices, and working knowledge of OOP design principles.
• This position is NOT eligible for Visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with JSON, JavaScript, Java.
• Knowledge and experience working with AWS or similar cloud service.
• Experience using SQL, Postgres, MSSQL or a similar technology.
• Experience with networking and/or real-time voice and video data transmission applications.
• Previous experience with either Valgrind, gdb, CMAKE.
