Cloud Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Cloud Engineer (AWS/DevOps): Building and managing cloud environments for eGates border control solutions with an accent on CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. Focus on implementing highly available distributed systems, infrastructure as code, and ensuring cloud security compliance.

Location: Hybrid (3 days weekly from the Prague office)

What you will do

• Implement and set up cloud technologies in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support the integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
• Create technical guidelines, installation guides, and training materials to ensure team autonomy.
• Provide guidance on cloud architecture, conduct security audits, and perform architecture reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and corporate teams (CCoE/CTO) to align cloud solutions with best practices.

Requirements

• Strong experience deploying and maintaining highly available solutions in AWS or other public cloud providers.
• Proficiency in system integration using IaaS, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and monitoring systems.
• Experience writing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) specifically using Terraform.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols including SOAP/REST, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and WAF.
• Proficiency in Windows/Linux systems and at least one programming language (Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript, or Go).
• Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Prague office.
