What you will do

• Design and build a high-performance, cross-platform rendering engine for video and graphics.
• Own core media systems, including composition, transforms, effects, and execution pipelines.
• Define architectural foundations, including language choice and performance tradeoffs.
• Optimize rendering engines for throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Collaborate with product and AI teams to support evolving creative requirements.
• Build safe and efficient APIs for internal teams to leverage rendering capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong experience building performance-critical systems in production.
• Deep understanding of graphics, media, or rendering pipelines (e.g., GPU-accelerated systems).
• Proficiency in systems programming languages such as C++ or Rust.
• Solid computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and systems design.
• Proven ability to own large, complex projects over long time horizons.
• Must be able to work in-person at our NYC HQ.

Nice to have

• Experience working on rendering engines or media pipelines at scale.
• Knowledge of video codecs, media formats, or GPU compute.
• Experience building or maintaining cross-platform engines.
