What you will do
- Own and evolve security standards to address evolving threats and business requirements.
- Configure and maintain security tooling across AWS, including IAM, networking, and threat detection.
- Lead security assessments, prioritize vulnerabilities, and facilitate threat modeling processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD workflows using a shift-left approach.
- Manage incident response, triage alerts, and identify patterns for risk reduction.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and act as a primary security point of contact.
Requirements
- Proven experience securing cloud environments, specifically within AWS.
- Strong background in threat detection, vulnerability management, and secure development lifecycles.
- Experience with infrastructure and engineering tooling like Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Practical skills in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, or JavaScript) for automation.
- Ability to independently perform security reviews and translate technical findings into recommendations.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence security decisions through partnership.
Nice to have
- Experience with GuardDuty, Security Hub, or WAF.
- Prior experience in a high-growth or SaaS environment.
- Background in financial services or payments security.
