What you will do

• Design, lead, and execute technical solutions for product and platform development.
• Build and maintain scalable web applications and reusable component libraries.
• Develop and manage APIs using REST or GraphQL to support high-traffic systems.
• Implement and optimize SQL and NoSQL database solutions using ORM systems.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and Technical Lead to drive architectural standards.
• Maintain application performance through profiling, caching strategies, and bottleneck resolution.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work from the Sydney office
• Strong experience in full-stack development with PHP, WordPress, and Laravel.
• Hands-on proficiency with modern frontend frameworks, specifically React and TypeScript.
• Experience developing APIs and standalone applications using Laravel and Horizon.
• Proven ability to build secure, scalable systems within cloud environments such as AWS or GCP.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD and observability.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Gutenberg framework.
• Familiarity with performance profiling tools like Blackfire.
• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and ETL processes.
