What you will do

• Develop and maintain clean, efficient, and testable Java code for core applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers and product teams to troubleshoot issues and refine software functionality.
• Participate in code reviews to improve skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Assist in investigating and resolving production bugs to ensure system stability.
• Learn to leverage AI and LLM tools to assist with coding, debugging, and generating documentation.

Requirements

• 1+ year of professional experience in hands-on Java software development.
• Solid grasp of Java Core, including Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, Collections, and Concurrency.
• Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern IDEs.
• Familiarity with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Strong debugging skills with a proactive approach to tackling technical challenges.
• Fluent proficiency in English and Serbian (Written & Verbal).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with HTTP clients and authentication mechanisms (e.g., Basic Auth, OAuth, API Keys).
• Basic familiarity with SQL (query writing) and/or NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts.
• A basic understanding of application performance optimization.
