What you will do

• Translate long-term security goals into a multi-quarter, prioritized roadmap, leading departmental planning cycles.
• Decompose high-level security strategies into actionable, sequenced delivery plans with clear owners and milestones.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of cross-cutting security initiatives, ensuring stakeholder alignment and accountability.
• Act as the primary interface between the Security Department and key stakeholders, negotiating and aligning security requirements.
• Build and maintain the single source of truth for the security department's performance using KPIs, OKRs, and program health metrics.
• Oversee the operational governance of security vendor relationships, including contract milestones and performance reviews.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in cybersecurity from a technical, GRC, or security consulting background.
• Highly self-driven, proactive, and able to define problems and drive to solutions with minimal direction.
• Exceptional organizational navigation skills with high EQ and IQ to move seamlessly across organizational levels.
• Ruthlessly organized, managing multiple complex programs simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to distill complex programs into executive briefings.
• Comfortable using AI tools for drafting, planning, and analysis while ensuring data accuracy.

Nice to have

• Background in a fast-paced fintech, payments, or technology scale-up environment.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (PCI DSS, ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST).
• Experience with formal program/portfolio management methodologies (PMI, SAFe, OKRs).
• Experience operating in emerging markets or global, multi-jurisdictional environments.
• Prior experience as a chief-of-staff, security strategy lead, or CISO advisor.
