TL;DR
Engineering Technical Writer: Creating and refining diagnostic procedures and documentation for use by non-engineers with an accent on translating complex technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly language. Focus on ensuring accuracy, currency, and compliance with evolving regulations.
Location: This position will be located in Hampton, VA at Joint Base Langley-Eustis and will be a fully onsite position.
Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 Annually

What you will do
- Translate complex technical requirements into clear, concise, and user-friendly language without losing technical accuracy.
- Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory teams to ensure documentation meets industry standards.
- Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation.
- Manage task and information flow using collaboration software such as SharePoint.
- Review and/or copyedit content developed by other members of the team.
Requirements
- Clearance: TS/SCI
- Strong network/systems engineering background
- Strong understanding of engineering terminology, technical standards, and compliance frameworks
- Creating visual aids, flow charts, structured templates to improve comprehension and usability
- Conduct periodic reviews and audits of documentation to ensure accuracy, currency, and compliance with evolving regulations
- Exceptional ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear, actionable language
- Familiarity with controlled document management systems and version control practices
