What you will do

• Lead the design and development of core game engine systems and APIs.
• Own architectural decisions to ensure system performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
• Balance hands-on coding with team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
• Run code reviews and uphold high engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Infrastructure teams to manage technical roadmaps and project priorities.
• Monitor production performance and drive continuous platform improvements.

Requirements

• Strong experience with C#, SQL, AWS, and Redis.
• Background in real-time or state-driven systems such as game engines or gambling platforms.
• Solid understanding of system design and scalable architecture.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, Git, and agile methodologies.
• Experience managing technical risk and mentoring developers.
• Ability to work from the office in Sunderland 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with front-end game integration, wallets, or external APIs.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, load testing, or observability tools.
• Knowledge of real-money gaming mechanics including RNG and RTP.
• Experience with cloud-native or containerized environments.
