TL;DR

Business Development Representative (HealthTech): Identifying and developing new pipeline opportunities within large healthcare systems with an accent on strategic outbound prospecting and account-based engagement. Focus on conducting research, articulating the value of AI-driven healthcare solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-scale growth.

Location: Must be based in the USA. Hybrid expectation for Bay Area employees (at least 3 days/week in San Mateo office); remote employees required to attend occasional onsite events.

Compensation: $75,000 – $105,000 OTE (base + commission).

What you will do

  • Drive outbound prospecting into priority healthcare systems to generate qualified sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product and Customer Success teams to identify and execute account-based expansion strategies.
  • Perform deep-dive research into healthcare stakeholders and market dynamics to craft personalized outreach.
  • Conduct initial discovery conversations and qualify early-stage opportunities for sales leadership.
  • Maintain and track pipeline data within Salesforce and HubSpot.
  • Experiment with modern prospecting tools and AI-driven automation to improve outreach effectiveness.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a business development role within SaaS or HealthTech.
  • Proven track record prospecting into complex enterprise accounts such as health systems or hospitals.
  • Strong self-direction and ability to manage an independent pipeline.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior-level healthcare stakeholders.
  • Research-driven approach to sales rather than high-volume manual outreach.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

  • Experience using AI-driven sales or research automation tools.
  • Background working in cross-functional environments with Product or Marketing teams.
