What you will do

• Plan and manage external development pipelines, including workflows and software solutions.
• Develop and execute an X-Dev strategy in collaboration with Directors.
• Build and lead a team of experienced external development artists.
• Collaborate with procurement to vet and manage X-Dev partners.
• Provide artistic and technical feedback to vendors to ensure quality standards.
• Integrate approved assets into the game engine and manage material/shader setup.

Requirements

• 8+ years of industry experience in an external development role.
• Must have shipped at least one AAA title.
• Experience leading teams of 5 or more people.
• Proficiency with development packages like Blender, Maya, and Substance.
• Strong knowledge of PBR, composition, color theory, and lighting.
• Portfolio required with application.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal Engine 5, Nanite, and Lumen.
• Proficiency with procedural content creation tools like Houdini or Designer.
