What you will do

• Design, code, and optimize high-performance Go services powering USPS shipping.
• Refactor legacy systems for the cloud and design new cloud-native services using Azure, Kubernetes, and Kafka.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate requirements into robust system architecture.
• Mentor teammates and implement modern Go best practices, including gRPC and microservices patterns.
• Troubleshoot production issues in high-throughput, low-latency environments without downtime.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and performance tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience (or 6+ years with a Master's degree).
• Proficiency in Go.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
• Must be authorized to work in the US (based on EEO and USPS requirements).

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
