What you will do

• Lead the modernization of PubSports data pipelines and architecture.
• Implement and enforce medallion/lakehouse standards to ensure high-quality data.
• Establish SLIs/SLOs for critical datasets to drive reliability and accountability.
• Partner with Product Insights to translate business needs into durable, scalable data foundations.
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers.
• Drive reduction of technical debt and legacy system instability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering or platform roles.
• 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in production environments.
• Deep expertise in Spark and Databricks.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with dimensional modeling and orchestration (Airflow).
• Proficiency in Python or Scala.
• Experience with cloud-native data services and real-time streaming technologies (Kafka/Flink).
