Base salary: $180,000–$440,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and ship voice features for Grok across platforms and product surfaces.
• Own backend engineering for scalable, low-latency voice infrastructure and model integrations.
• Collaborate with voice model, media, engineering, research, and product teams to deliver end-to-end experiences.
• Drive performance, reliability, and quality of voice interactions at global scale.
• Work as a generalist across iOS, Android, and other product groups.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python or Rust and a strong record of writing clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Strong backend-focused generalist engineering skills.
• Hands-on experience shipping features on iOS and/or Android.
• Deep interest in voice and audio AI.
• Ability to collaborate across product groups and prioritize the best user experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven consumer products or media generation technologies.
• Experience collaborating across engineering, research, and product teams to ship features quickly.
