What you will do

• Architect and implement performant Go-based microservices supporting real-time and high-throughput workloads.
• Lead the end-to-end technical design and delivery of complex features from requirement to deployment.
• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize database queries in distributed systems.
• Propose and drive architectural decisions and define the technical direction for team services.
• Mentor Software Engineers I, II, and III through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers and Designers to translate goals into technical solutions.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, with significant time building production Go services.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No sponsorship provided).
• Proven track record of owning and delivering complex, multi-component features.
• Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of API design (REST, gRPC, or GraphQL) and observability practices.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Familiarity with infrastructure tooling (Terraform, Kubernetes operators, ArgoCD).
• Experience in high-traffic, real-time systems (sports, gaming, fintech, or adtech).
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools across the software development lifecycle.
