Senior Devops Engineer

Location: Hybrid in Toronto, ON

Salary: CAD $160,000 to $190,000

What you will do

• Design, build, and manage cloud and container technologies and tooling using Infrastructure as Code.
• Improve Observability and Site Reliability best practices to ensure optimal scale, performance, and cost control.
• Own work end to end, from problem definition and technical design through delivery, iteration, and long-term support.
• Collaborate across development squads to solve problems and support initiatives.
• Improve and maintain compliant configurations and security lifecycles.
• Mentor other developers through feedback and technical guidance.

Requirements

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of DevOps and Infrastructure experience with Google or AWS cloud, Kubernetes, Continuous Deployment and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ArgoCD & Github Actions)
• Infrastructure tooling development experience using Go, Python, Bash or similar
• Sound technical judgment when balancing speed, quality, performance, resilience, cost and long-term maintainability
• A security focus that ensures best practices and compliance are part of all solutions
• Clear communication and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners

Nice to have

• Experience in restaurant tech
• Experience with MySQL, BigQuery, RabbitMQ, Datadog
