TL;DR

Development Platform Developer (Cloud): Establishing and refining release processes for geotechnical desktop and cloud products with an accent on cloud infrastructure and developer experience. Focus on building an Internal Development Platform using Infrastructure-as-Code to enhance deployment efficiency for engineering teams.

Location: Hybrid, must be in Calgary, Canada 2 days per week

What you will do

• Develop and maintain build, packaging, and release pipelines for cloud and desktop products.
• Migrate on-prem infrastructure to the cloud using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Build and optimize an Internal Development Platform to simplify service deployment.
• Collaborate with development pods to align release priorities and enhance Developer Experience.
• Ensure infrastructure is secure, observable, and documented for high-quality production deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3+ years experience in build or infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Working knowledge of cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and programming languages (Python or Rust).
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from the Calgary office.
