Senior Data Scientist (AIX): Developing and deploying robust machine learning and Generative AI solutions for climate-focused energy products with an accent on complex statistical analysis and end-to-end project ownership. Focus on scaling existing models, identifying strategic data trends, and driving measurable business impact within a multidisciplinary team.

Location: Hybrid (must be based in or able to commute to Bristol, Glasgow, or London hubs at least once a week)

Salary: £58,830–£84,720 + 15% bonus + 9% Flex Pay

What you will do

• Take end-to-end responsibility for data science projects, from problem definition to model deployment and impact measurement.
• Build and scale machine learning models and Generative AI solutions to optimize business processes.
• Extract actionable insights from complex datasets to influence strategic decision-making.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of technical excellence.
• Contribute to data infrastructure, governance, and the broader Data Science Community of Practice.

Requirements

• Must have the right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
• Extensive experience in data analysis, machine learning, and Generative AI.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record of leading projects from concept to production.
• Expertise in experimental design and advanced A/B testing.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex technical findings for business partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic engineering or autonomous workflows.
• Knowledge of AI product market integration concepts.
