What you will do

• Build and evolve a Databricks-first data platform to support analytics, operations, and AI applications.
• Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products from ingestion and transformation to deployment and monitoring.
• Partner with product, research, and business teams to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Raise engineering standards by implementing best practices in CI/CD, observability, and code quality.
• Lay the technical foundations for AI/ML applications ensuring security, governance, and production reliability.

Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in Python, SQL, and modern cloud data systems.
• Proven experience with Databricks or the ability to ramp up rapidly in the ecosystem.
• Solid engineering mindset with a focus on architecture, reliability, and production-quality systems.
• Deep interest and practical passion for AI and ML applied to real-world products.
• Must be fluent in Spanish and English.
• Strong collaboration skills and a drive to raise standards through feedback and shared practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, workflow orchestration, and modern lakehouse architectures.
• Background in designing platforms supporting both BI and ML/AI use cases.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code, data governance, and role-based access control.
• Familiarity with the EdTech or SaaS product usage data ecosystems.
