Location: Hybrid (Sunnyvale, CA; Austin, TX; or New York, NY) - 2-3 days per week on-site required

What you will do

• Develop and deploy network security posture for the edge, backbone, and data centers.
• Operate and improve DDoS detection, mitigation, and response capabilities.
• Implement network segmentation using routing, SDN, and host-level controls.
• Manage network security protocols, AAA, ACLs, and firewall configurations.
• Automate security practices and integrate new network security products.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations and perform vulnerability remediation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in network security engineering.
• Deep knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec) and DDoS mitigation.
• Proven ability to lead security initiatives independently.
• Experience with security automation tools like Ansible or NETCONF/YANG.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and load balancing/DNS.
• Must be able to pass background and fingerprint checks for government customer requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in data center, telecom, or SaaS operations.
• Familiarity with security orchestration tools like Tufin, Firemon, or AlgoSec.
• Strong technical communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
