What you will do

• Partner with Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Act as the primary security liaison to Product and Engineering teams, participating in architectural reviews and technical discussions.
• Serve as a technical mentor to junior security team members and a security evangelist to the engineering organization.
• Define and maintain secure coding standards and reference architecture, demonstrating best practices through code/scripts.
• Work with the internal security team to improve and automate operational processes.

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering or systems architecture and understanding of modern IT Infrastructure.
• Experience designing and implementing SSDLC programs in a modern DevOps/Agile environment.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management (IAM), microservices architecture, and API security.
• Communication & Soft Skills: Possess the emotional intelligence to navigate disagreements, influence without direct authority, and explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated history of mentoring and leveling up others.

Nice to have

• Strong familiarity with the hirify.global core engineering stack (C# / .NET Core, Go (Golang) or Java).
• Hands-on experience architecting security for hybrid environments, specifically Microsoft Azure and AWS. Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s), Docker, and container security.
• Ability to secure and review infrastructure defined in Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with securing Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and modern data stores like PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Proficiency in Python or PowerShell for writing security automation scripts.
• Experience integrating SAST/DAST/SCA tools into Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or OSCP, and experience with frameworks like NIST 800-53 or ISO 27001.
