What you will do

• Build and maintain production-quality backend game orchestration services, including dynamic resource allocation, monitoring, and security.
• Collaborate daily with a cross-disciplinary team to design the interface between the orchestration system, matchmaking systems, and internal developer experience.
• Write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and email communication, summarizing complex topics.
• Calmly deal with production incidents, participating in an on-call rotation after launch.

Requirements

• Production experience designing and building backend services.
• Ability to communicate with customers of different technical and non-technical backgrounds.
• Experience with orchestration technologies (e.g., Agones, Kubernetes, AccelByte, Playfab).
• Ability to write, debug, and maintain code in Rust.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Git, and Linux (including shell scripting and system configuration).
• Embrace a “we” culture as a collaborator and communicator.

Nice to have

• Experience with “games as a service” online game development.
• Experience with multiple cloud providers and infrastructure-as-code systems like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with Unreal Engine.
