What you will do

  • Own product marketing for Claude's chat surface including positioning, messaging, launches, and lifecycle management across web and mobile.
  • Collaborate closely with consumer product and growth teams to align marketing and acquisition strategies.
  • Co-own consumer brand expression and lead go-to-market for major consumer launches.
  • Develop consumer positioning and messaging to differentiate Claude in a competitive market.
  • Conduct research and data analysis to understand consumer segments and motivations.
  • Define and track consumer marketing KPIs in partnership with growth teams.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be able to work from San Francisco or New York City offices at least 25% of the time
  • 7+ years of product marketing experience with consumer technology products.
  • Proven track record in driving user acquisition, activation, or retention through marketing.
  • Strong writing skills for compelling positioning, messaging, and copy.
  • Experience partnering with product, growth, and brand teams on launches and campaigns.
  • Comfortable with data, metrics, and growth experimentation.

Nice to have

  • Experience marketing during category-defining moments.
  • Background with subscription or freemium business models.
  • Experience with mobile product marketing.
  • Familiarity with AI products.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
