Principal HW Validation Engineer

TL;DR

Principal HW Validation Engineer: Driving pre-silicon and post-silicon validation and production of SerDes and other High-Speed interfaces for automotive products with an accent on functionality, performance, power, reliability, and automotive qualification. Focus on developing validation test-plans, test environment, and automation scripts using Python and various HW/SW tools.

Location: San Jose (Holger Way)

Salary: $160,500 to $220,700 annually

What you will do

• Develop and implement detailed validation test-plans and methodologies.
• Develop test-cases, test environment, and automation scripts using Python.
• Collaborate with design, DV, Analog, and Firmware teams to debug and resolve issues.
• Document test-plans, test results, and validation coverage reports.
• Develop scripts and web-based tools to automate validation and FW QA tests.

Requirements

• B.S./M.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in silicon validation of with high-speed networking SerDes, mixed signal/analog/digital ICs and blocks.
• Hands on experience with debug and characterization of high-speed interfaces like CSI-2, Ethernet.
• Expertise with script-based test automation (Python) and strong scripting skills in general.

Nice to have

• Experience in GUI development for HW and FW debug.
