TL;DR

Senior Engineer - AI Enablement (Fintech): Modernizing critical legacy services using AI tooling and demonstrating AI's impact on development in the financial services sector with an accent on AI engineering practices. Focus on building AI-powered development infrastructure and automating code review, security scanning, and test generation.

Location: Hybrid, 3 days in the office in Kraków, Poland.

Salary: Starting from 18 000 PLN. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate's experience and competencies.

What you will do

Modernize legacy services using AI to analyze codebases and extract clean APIs.
Implement strangler fig patterns and other proven migration approaches.
Build AI-powered development infrastructure, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
Create AI-assisted CI/CD pipelines with automated code review, security scanning, and test generation.
Develop reusable AI tooling that other engineers can adopt.
Demonstrate measurable improvements, such as faster APIs and higher reliability, through AI integration.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering with Java backend expertise.
Experience modernizing production systems at scale.
Strong API design and microservices architecture knowledge.
Hands-on experience building with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Demonstrated use of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI development tools in production work.
Experience implementing AI in CI/CD pipelines (code review, testing, security scanning).
