Senior Systems Validation Engineer: Driving and contributing to post-silicon validation of hardware with software based on customer use-cases of NXP’s Automotive grade products with an accent on ensuring functionality, performance, power and reliability of the complete system. Focus on developing self-checking test-cases using Python and C/C++ in embedded CPU build environment.

Location: San Jose (Holger Way)

Salary: $130,600 to $179,600 annually

What you will do

• Develop detailed validation test-plans covering all hardware and firmware configurations and develop validation methodologies/infrastructure to achieve the coverage
• Develop self-checking test-cases using Python and C/C++ in embedded CPU build environment
• Work closely with Design, DV, Analog and Firmware teams to debug, root-cause and resolve any issues that may arise during validation
• Document test results, meta data analysis and FW QA coverage reports
• Develop various scripts, web-based tools to automate both system validation and FW QA tests as well as collecting reports and diagnostics data

Requirements

• B.S./M.S. Electrical/Computer Engineering (or similar degrees)
• 5-10 years of experience in systems validation with high-speed networking SerDes, mixed signal/analog/digital ICs and blocks, knowledge of PCS and PMA networking layers
• Hands on experience with debug of high-speed interfaces like CSI-2, Ethernet
• Expertise with script-based test automation (Python) and strong scripting skills in general
• Expertise with C/C++, Firmware modules and architecture and RTOS
• Experience in various GPU and SOC used in ADAS industry solutions
