Security Architect

TL;DR

Security Architect (Cybersecurity): Defining and developing security policy standards, baselines, and performing architecture design reviews for products and enterprise systems with an accent on cloud security and modern infrastructure. Focus on securing distributed microservices platforms and translating complex technical requirements into actionable business outcomes.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to the Edinburgh hub for a hybrid schedule (2 days a week in-office).

What you will do

• Define and develop security policy standards and baselines using risk assessments and system analysis.
• Conduct security architecture design reviews for product and enterprise environments.
• Provide actionable remediation and risk mitigation recommendations to engineering and operations teams.
• Support the implementation of a Secure by Design program across the organization.
• Translate complex security requirements into clear business objectives.
• Communicate security risks effectively to diverse stakeholders, from business leaders to technical engineers.

Requirements

• Must be able to work from the Edinburgh office 2 days per week.
• Solid professional experience in Information Security, including architecture, design, and service development.
• Deep expertise in cloud security specifically within AWS and Azure multi-account architectures.
• Hands-on experience securing containers, microservices, and modern distributed platforms.
• Proficiency in securing heterogeneous environments including Windows, Linux, and network devices.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 security and identity-centric controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco and Juniper network security appliances.
• Proven track record of driving security compliance through metrics and automated monitoring.
