Salary: $189,550 – $266,000

What you will do

• Define clinical requirements, indications, and guardrails in partnership with engineering, product, and data science teams.
• Design and oversee clinical validation studies to demonstrate product performance and relevance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for heart-health features and collaborate with quality and clinical outcomes teams on submissions.
• Serve as the clinical lead across the organization, translating medical endpoints into actionable product decisions.
• Represent Oura externally to scientific audiences, physicians, and health systems.
• Translate medical literature and cardiology knowledge into informed performance goals for feature development.

Requirements

• MD/DO/MBBS (or equivalent) with deep expertise in general cardiology or a related specialty.
• Board-certified in Cardiology or a related specialty with an active medical license.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in health product development or digital health within regulated environments (SaMD).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present to diverse cross-functional teams.
• Must be based in the United States (excluding specified states).

Nice to have

• Experience designing pivotal clinical studies for regulated products (evidence generation, observational datasets).
• Direct experience partnering with regulatory bodies like FDA or EU MDR/IVDR.
• Familiarity with algorithm/ML development in clinical contexts such as ECG or arrhythmia detection.
