Systems Engineer (SRE III) (Email Infrastructure): Building and operating reliable, scalable email infrastructure and automation systems with an accent on MTAs, SMTP delivery, and infrastructure automation. Focus on designing highly available pipelines, ensuring system security, and managing complex email delivery environments at scale.
Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Madrid or Prague

What you will do
- Design, configure, and operate high-scale Mail Transfer Agents (MTAs) and SMTP services.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible.
- Automate system provisioning and deployment workflows using CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure 99.5% SLA for email delivery by monitoring system health and security.
- Troubleshoot delivery issues including bounces, blocks, and reputation management.
- Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for infrastructure services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or DevOps
- Strong proficiency with Linux and shell scripting
- Practical experience with SMTP, DNS, TLS, and email security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
- Professional experience with Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and network infrastructure
Nice to have
- Experience with specialized email services like KumoMTA, Amazon SES, or SendGrid
- Proficiency with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios)
- Experience managing high-volume email delivery systems
- Familiarity with Git-based collaborative version control
