TL;DR

Staff Engineer (Fullstack): Leading the development of customer-facing SaaS products using a modern tech stack including NodeJS microservices, Vue, Redis, SQL Server, and AWS with an accent on full stack development, software architecture, and rapid deployment. Focus on designing scalable, secure systems, accelerating software production with Agentic AI, and maintaining high code quality in a DevSecOps environment.

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom, hybrid with on-site presence one day per week by 2027

What you will do

Lead technical design, architecture, and implementation decisions for customer-facing products.
Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to scope, design, and break down work into deliverable epics and stories.
Develop and deploy code daily in a mature CI/CD and DevSecOps environment using modern technologies.
Build proofs of concept to resolve design uncertainties and support production systems by resolving issues.
Drive quality, maintainability, and operability of code as a high-performing individual contributor and embedded architect.

Requirements

Location: Based in or able to work hybrid in Manchester, UK
5+ years of professional experience with TypeScript and full stack development.
Experience with NodeJS microservices, Vue, Redis, SQL Server, and AWS.
Strong knowledge of clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and DevSecOps methodology.
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including working directly with customers.
Technical/computer science degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

Experience accelerating software production using AI technologies.
Automated testing and quality assurance expertise.
Building scalable and secure systems with security best practices.
