What you will do

• Collaborate with the team's Designer + Product leadership group to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and craft roadmaps.
• Work with the team on designing technical solutions.
• Provide feedback on code reviews and architecture documents to support team members in making technical decisions.
• Actively contribute to projects through code reviews and shipping code.
• Hold 1:1 meetings with direct reports to support their career growth.
• Participate in hiring to grow the engineering team.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in people leadership in software development, particularly with large-scale SaaS products.
• A strong background in hands-on software development.
• Diverse base of knowledge to help the team solve complex technical problems.
• Ability to describe successful projects and lessons learned from failures.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, coach, develop, and retain engineering talent.
• Strong opinions that are weakly held, and foster that attitude in others.

Nice to have

• A philosophy on what makes software development teams truly great.
• Deep expertise in .NET CLR internals or advanced SQL Server performance tuning.
• Experience working with a variety of architectures (monoliths, distributed systems, microservices) and an understanding of their tradeoffs.
